50th Anniversary 1974 Football Team Reunion & Memorial For Walt Gary and Bob Jones

Join us on May 17, 2026 at the Future Primitive Brewery in White Ctr from 1pm to 6pm for a scheduled memorial and fund raiser with Fred Hutch in the fight against cancer to honor Walt Gary and Bob Jones. Entertainment and programming will also acknowledge all classmates of HHS that also battled this disease. Please click on the tab and follow the QR coder for more details. We are looking forward to this community building event.
Honoring Walt and BobWalt (Mr. Reliable) and Bob (Mr. Auburn) anchored the HHS football offensive line during the 1973–74 season. Both went on to become respected leaders in corporate and educational circles, inspiring countless coworkers and student-athletes to value teamwork and public service above self-interest. They are remembered for their courage, strength, and the generosity of spirit they shared in every moment.
Join us on Sunday, May 17 from 1-6pm to honor these two incredible men at Future Primitive Brewing Company in White Center and raise money for cancer research. There will be plenty of refreshments and entertainment from the Uncle Ernie Band.
If you are unable to make the event or would like to donate sooner, please consider making a donation to Fred Hutch Cancer Center in memory of Walt and Bob.
We trust and support Fred Hutch because they’ve been advancing prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cures for 50 years. Their early work led to the development of bone marrow transplantation: one of the first immunotherapies and a treatment that can cure some cancers. Today, they are unlocking how cancers start and spread, harnessing the immune system to fight disease, working to increase health equity, and giving more people and their families more time together.

Help us Promote the HHS Alumni Foundation At Your Reunion

To: All Highline Reunion Classes
Highline grads, we hope you have an exceptional reunion and would like to provide you with some information on the Highline High School Alumni Foundation and how you might be able to help us “Create a Better Tomorrow” for HHS students for distribution at your next reunion.
The HHS Alumni Foundation was founded in 1995 to help create educational opportunities for future Highline Students and offered the first scholarship for $500 in honor of former teacher Harry Lemon. Since 1995 the Alumni Foundation has provided over $700,000 in scholarships.
Reunion organizers please print copies of the word document below to distribute at your upcoming reunions or post on your reunion invitation website.
Here is how you can help invest in the future of Highline HS
